Most conventional power mesh fabrics have a fairly obvious job to do: provide stretch, support, and shaping.
But as a unique and premium undergarment fabric, RS002 starts with those requirements, but it does not stop there.
The reason is that the fabrics used in lingerie has to do several things at the same time. It has to stretch with the body, but it also has to recover. It has to provide support, but it should not bulky or uncomfortable. And when the garment is worn close to the skin, breathable, moisture wicking management become much more important.
So instead of treating Power Mesh Fabric simply as a stretch material, RS002 looks at the fiber blend by considering each fiber’s performance.
None of these performance is especially unique by itself. But when putting them together, they work in harmony and show greater strength. So the composition is not really about choosing one “special” fiber.
That is what gives RS002 a different material story from normal standard power mesh fabric.
What Is the Role of the Warp Knitted Mesh fabric Construction? There is another part of the fabric that is easy to overlook.
The fiber composition tells you what the material is made from. It does not, by itself, tell you how the fabric will behave. The construction makes a difference too.
RS002 uses a Warp Knitted Mesh construction with an fine open mesh structure and 4 way stretch. The opening fine hole allowing air to move through the surface rather than trapping everything inside.
That can be particularly useful in lingerie and sports underwear, where ventilation of the open hole and 4 way stretch of warp knitted both are indispensable parts of providing good wearing experience for customers.

The obvious answer is lingerie. But that is not the only answer.
The combination of Bamboo Fiber, stretch, lightweight construction, and breathable mesh gives designers several ways to use the fabric.
You do not necessarily need to build an entire collection around them. Sometimes one distinctive fabric used in the right place is enough to change the character of a garment.
Compared with other similar fabrics in the market, what distinctive benefits make your product different if you choose Wingtex RS002?
There is a practical reason brands look for Unique Fabric, Specialty Fabric, Eco friendly or Innovative Fabric.
The market already has plenty of stretch power mesh fabric. Simply saying that a fabric is stretchy does not attract a buyer very much.
But when the material story becomes:
Bamboo Fiber + Cooling soft Comfort + Stretch + Breathable fine Mesh + moisture wicking + Earth friendly Recycle nylon
there is more to work with. A brand can talk about sustainable, environmentally friendly, natural and human live in harmony through recycled nylon, which is conducive to crafting brand storytelling to gain a premium price rather than involving in low price cutthroat competition. Designers can make styles based on what this mesh can do. Product developers can build full garment collections. The final clothes work differently than regular power mesh.
And that is really the point of RS002. It is not simply another stretch mesh. It is a different combination of materials and construction intended for brands that want more than the standard Power Mesh Fabric story.

If you are developing premium lingerie, sports underwear, yoga wear, or another close-fitting garment and are looking for something beyond a conventional Power Mesh Fabric, RS002 is worth evaluating as a material option.
Contact Wingtex to request an RS002 sample and discuss your application requirements.

This is probably the simplest part of the process.
Feel free to ask us for the fabric sample first. Then test it against the product you are actually developing.
For RS002, that can include:
A fabric specification can tell you that the material contains 48% Nylon, 31% Bamboo Fiber, and 21% Spandex. It cannot tell you exactly how that fabric will feel in your particular bra, sports underwear, yoga garment, or lingerie design.
That is why sampling matters. And if the fabric is being considered for a new collection, it is worth evaluating the material together with the actual garment construction before moving into bulk production.
